Commonwealth Carelink Centres

Commonwealth Carelink Centres are run by the Department of Health and Ageing. They are able to provide information on government assistance, as well as a range of health issues.

Centrelink

Centrelink is a government agency delivering a range of Commonwealth Services and payments to Carers and people with disabilities.

RIAP (Respite Intake & Allocation Process)

RIAP is the process by which carers and care recipients are allocated to service providers, such as Riverlink. Allocations to service providers occur in the last three months of the financial year previous to the time service is provided. The lines open in January and close in March, however you can leave a message at any point during the year.

Interpreter Services

A range of Interpreter Services are available for individuals who may have difficulty reading, speaking and/or understanding English.

NSW Carer’s Line

The Carers NSW Carer Line is a National Toll Free* number offering specialised information, support, referrals and access to counselling and support groups, for carers and service providers. The Carer Line is available from 9am to 5pmMonday to Friday.

Northside Community Forum Inc. is a community-based organisation that exists to improve care in its region. This includes people who are aged, people with a disability, people with mental health issues, and people with a range of other personal circumstances. It includes their friends and family, members, and other organisations involved in community-based care.
