Children’s Programs & Activities

Riverlink is very proud to continue to present our highly regarded Children’s programs. These supported programs have been running for more than 10 years and provide a safe environment within pre-school sites.

They focus on allowing children, generally aged 3 to 10 years, to have fun using the activities and equipment within the pre-schools and to be able to interact with each other.

Additionally the Children’s Sports Group is for young participants who enjoy being active out in the community.

All programs are staffed according to the support needs of each of the participants.

Children’s Saturday & School Holiday Program:
The Saturday program operates weekly during term time within community pre-school sites currently at Lidcombe, Doonside and Baulkham Hills. During the school holidays the program operates most days at Lidcombe, Doonside, Baulkham Hills and Marayong.

Children’s Sports Group Program:
The Children’s Sports Group offers Saturday fortnightly activities as well as some days in school holidays and covers a range of sports. These include bike riding, tennis, jumping castles, trampolining and other regular sports.

Transport:
We know that sometimes getting to activities can be a major hurdle. Riverlink has many transport options available, so contact us with your requirements.

These programs provide respite to Carers of younger children generally aged 3-10yrs. Riverlink accesses four sites in the Cumberland-Prospect area: Lidcombe, Blacktown and Baulkham Hills during term time, and Lidcombe, Marayong, Doonside Kindy and Baulkham Hills during the holidays. Special Activities are also periodically planned as outings to age appropriate venues.

Programs usually operate on Saturday for approximately 5 hours and during the school holidays in response to Carer need.

Staffing for this program is in accordance to the support needs of the care recipients, with some capacity to be flexible in meeting the needs of younger children with a disability who have higher support needs.
