how you can help

Become a member

Riverlink gives you the option of two kinds of membership. You can become a website member or a financial member.

Website members can login to our member's section and find a world of information, support materials, interesting ideas and things to do - even recipes and stories. We ask that you give us your email address and postcode to become a website member so that we can better allocate our funding and resources in future. Riverlink will never use your email address to send you 'spam' emails and we won't disclose it to anyone else.

Financial members of Riverlink have the same access to information as website members and also are able to vote on board decisions at the Annual General Meeting and apply to sit on the board. Financial membership costs only $5.50 to cover the cost of processing information should you wish to be more involved.

Donate

Riverlink appreciate donations of all sizes (tax deductible over $2.00) to help us in the offering of services to those most in need. Donations add to our government funding which only funds those services and areas we already service. Your donation and the payment of fees for services from those who are able help us to reach further, both geographically and in service types, and help carers and care recipients who would not normally be able to access our service. To find out more about how you can help through donation please contact our office by phone on 02 9638 0999 or by using the contact form here.

Volunteer

Riverlink is looking for active, motivated, reliable and compassionate people to volunteer. You will be part of a dedicated and close team who will be supporting and assisting children, teenagers and young adults/adults with a disability to get out into the community and experience meaningful age appropriate experiences.

Your volunteer experience with Riverlink will have you meeting new people and leave you with a sense of making a difference in other people’s lives. You will not only have a fun day out but get personal satisfaction and rewards from knowing that the assistance you are providing gives Riverlink carers and their family valuable respite.

Experience with working with children, young people and/or adults with a disability would be an advantage but not essential. A sense of humour is!

Our screening process requires:

• Reference check

• Police check, a 100 point ID check and also the working with children check
