Volunteer Opportunities
Activity Companions for Teenagers and Adults
Riverlink is looking for active motivated and reliable people to help us with group activities for children and young people with a disability.
We have group activities operating each week during the school term, with a Ten Pin Bowling League and other regular Friday night and weekend activities. Some of the activities include movies, day trips on ferries and trains, bush walks, sports matches, places of interest such as Darling Harbour, wildlife parks, museums, picnics, the theatre and the list goes on!
There is also a school holiday program as well as camps.
All volunteers will have their entry expenses paid for by Riverlink. You will be part of a close team who will be supervising and assisting young people with a disability to get out into the community and experience all that it has to offer. You can help out once a week, or once a month depending on how much time you have available.
Activity Companions for Children
Riverlink is looking for active motivated and reliable people to help out with a group program for children with a disability aged 3-12 years. The program operates in Ryde, Lane Cove, Baulkham Hills, Lidcombe and Blacktown during the school holidays and on Saturdays. We are looking for people to work as part of a team who supervise and create fun, stimulating activities for the participating children.
You can help out once a week, or once a month depending on how much time you have available. If you have experience working with children or people with a disability this could be an ideal volunteering position for you.
Note: Applicants must be over 18 years of age and consent to probity checks. All training will be provided. We would like our volunteers to have experience working with children and/or people with a disability but it is not essential.
If you would like any more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact us.
